Fincore eSign

Verify a signed document

Check whether a PDF is an authentic, unaltered document signed through Fincore eSign. Anyone can use this page; no account is needed. Verification works for documents processed by Fincore eSign only; any other file will simply report no match.

Your document is never uploaded or stored. The file is fingerprinted (SHA-256) entirely inside your browser; only that fingerprint, a short string of letters and numbers, is sent to our servers for comparison. Fincore eSign does not receive, keep, or see the file you select here.

The file is fingerprinted (SHA-256) in your browser; only the fingerprint is sent to Fincore eSign. The document itself never leaves your device.

How to verify, step by step

  1. Locate the PDF you want to check: the signed document or the Certificate of Completion you received by email, or the original file that was sent for signature.
  2. Open this page. The fastest route is scanning the QR code printed on the signed document's signature page (top right) or on the certificate's Document Integrity section; both lead to this tool, already scoped to that envelope.
  3. Select the PDF above, or drag and drop it onto the upload box.
  4. Read the result. Authentic means the exact bytes you hold are the final signed document Fincore eSign produced. Recognized means the file matches the original as it was sent for signature, before signing marks were applied. No match means the file was never processed by Fincore eSign, or it has been altered since; even a one-character change fails verification.
  5. To cross-check manually, compute the file's SHA-256 hash with any standard tool and compare it with the values printed in the certificate's Document Integrity section.

How it works: every completed envelope records the SHA-256 fingerprint of its signed artifact and its source document. A fingerprint changes completely if a single byte of the file changes, so a match proves the file is byte-for-byte identical to what Fincore eSign processed. A successful match shows only the completion date and the sending organisation's name; no document content is ever disclosed by this tool.
